Ghent & Bruges with Darshana, March 2008 - Page 2 - Sean Leather's Photos

Darshana and I took a weekend to visit the beautiful Ghent and Bruges in Belgium. Both cities are very nice, and each is worth at least a day of sightseeing. We took the train from Utrecht to Ghent on the morning of Saturday, 15 March. In the evening, we left Ghent and went to Bruges by train. We stayed overnight and left Bruges on Sunday afternoon. We both enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Sean Leather > There were a lot of very ornate carvings here, but this was one of the few made of wood.

Sean Leather > The Roeland bell that hung in the belfry. The bottom reads: Created: 1660. Damaged: 1914. Put to rest: 1950.
