Ken and I jumped into line around 4 to check our luggage. Unfortunately, we later found out that our line (the shorter one) was only for passengers on an early flight to Houston. We had to then get in the longer line. Even worse, after standing in the long line for several hours, the people in charge arbitrarily decided that everybody standing there (who were almost all international transfers like me) was in the wrong line. Nobody moved though. Through some somewhat devious behavior, I eventually jumped into a line directly behind one of the desks. I stood there for another hour or so. Finally, I reached an actual person who fixed my problem in 10 minutes. I was one of the lucky ones. By that time it was 40 minutes before my flight. So many others missed their flights due to the lines and bad management of the situation.
