We next went to God's Window located in the Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve. Here's the description from the sign:
"God's Window, overlooking the Lowveld and the escarpment, is in the mist belt. This zone is created when warm moist air rising from the Lowveld cools and its moisture condenses at these high altitudes of over 1500 metres. These characteristics give high rainfall, cool and often overcast summers and relatively cold winters.
"Rivers of the Lowveld depend on the escarpment catchment for their flow. Damage to the escarpment's natural vegetation by forestry development and overgrazing seriously damages its capacity to recharge the rivers serving the people and the Kruger Park in the Lowveld.
